is licensed to practice acupuncture in the state of New York and certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and has completed studies at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center. While in China she had the opportunity to work with doctors and patients in hospitals specializing in neurology, oncology and pediatrics.
In addition to her private practice, Erika is the Acupuncture Supervisor for two non-profit community based organizations. She has also worked at St. John's Riverside Hospital treating participants in the hospitals substance abuse program.
Erika has studied with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield and is certified in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal.™
Having studied yoga and meditation for the past eight years, as well as qi gong and karate, Erika believes that all aspects of a persons’ life affects their health – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
In addition to acupuncture and herbs, Erika incorporates into her treatments
Tui-Na (Chinese medical massage), Reiki and aromatherapy, as well as Eastern and Western nutrition.
